Hiking Week!!

TJ and I went on the sweetest hike Saturday in Polygamist territory!! Yes I know. . we heard about this hike in Colorado City and we decided to check it out. The top of the hike has a natural water spring that had been filtering water for hundreds of years and it was the best water I have ever tasted. . . i felt like it was the fountain of youth...kind of like tuck everlasting, if you know what I mean. It gets better, there were huge bushes of black berries too!! It took about an hour to get to the top and you basically follow a creek the whole way up. It was BEAUTIFUL!!!
We decided to go off the trail on the way back and just follow the creek down... (TJ idea) and we both had our crocks on and I was slipping left and right, TJ had to catch me multiple times. It was hard and i couldn't stop sliding one time down a big rock and yes injury occured! My thumb got a major scrape to the core of my bone!! I almost couldn't go on, but it was getting dark so we had to book it out of there.
The story goes on. . . on our way back through Polyg city I wanted to stop at a cheese shack, but TJ was scared so we didn't. He's so wimpy. . . so we kept on going and you wouldn't believe it, but we though a concert was getting out with all the trucks and cars going one way. . . turns out the polygs were just getting out of CHURCH!!! They were walking home driving home, it got kind of weird. . !!! If it wasn't dark I would have tried to snap a picture, but the flash might have givin it away in the darkness so I stopped myself from taking a photo of it:) Next time fellow blogger readers.

Earlier in the week, I went and hiked Angels Landing in Zion. Brandon was in town and him and his friend were going up so I tagged along and it was so hard. Not to mention kind of scary, parts there is a chain you can hold on to not fall. So worth it though. Also at the top I was enjoying my snack and out came a little friend to join me!! That little creature just made my day!!!
